About me

Hi!

A lot of people who buy handmade goodies like to know about who made them, so here's a little information about me.

My name is Elle, and I've lived in Warwickshire, England for my whole life. I love animals, and always have a house full!

My love for scrapbooking started around six years ago, while I was working at a local nursery. I had the idea of making a scrapbook for each child, to give to the parents at the end of the year. It was a lot of work, but great fun, and the parents were thrilled! So Designs By Elle was born. Originally I only made scrapbooks on a custom basis, for birthdays and grandparents.

After selling a few scrapbooks in local shops and at fairs, I decided to launch Designs By Elle online at the start of 2010!

At the moment I still live in Warwickshire, so I'm continously inspired by the gorgeous countryside and historical sites around the country. I love the vintage feel in certain areas, too, and I try to use local products in my scrapbooks as much as I can.
